The BIOREADER® -F-z-i applies the inverse principle.
Particularly suitable for the analysis of live cells in suspension and adherent cells (adherent) cells.


  • Adherent cell counting is possible
  • All cell, CFU and plaque samples are analyzed from bottom side
  • 384-96-48-24-12-6 multiwell, microfilter Spot/Area/Zone reading
  • Used for fluorescence and enzymatic applications in commonly available high affinity 96 well multiwell plates and multifilter plates (e.g. FluoroSpot/FluoroPlaque and Elispot)


  • GigE or USB camera. Built-in high definition automated zoom lenses,
    aperture distortion corrected, are able to visualize and capture the entire well including the border
  • Automated focus, illumination and filter changer, are linked with the measure protocol applied and GLP-locked
  • Lens changer automatically switches to higher ‘magnification range’ by applying a second customized lens. Useful if very small samples like 384 (96 selected areas) wells have to be observed
  • Lens changer automatically switches to a macro ‘magnification range’ by applying a second customized lens. Useful if very large samples may have to be observed
